Expunctions

EXPUNCTIONS and NON-DISCLOSURES:

An Expunction is the process by which you “erase” a person’s criminal record.  Texas Law allows a person to have his criminal arrest record “expunged” in certain circumstances.  Expunctions are generally for cases in which there was no criminal conviction.  Notably, expunction is available to people who successfully complete a “Pretrial Diversion” program.

An Order of Non-Disclosure is available for cases where a person’s criminal charge was resolved via a Deferred Adjudication Order and successfully completed a period of probation.   A Non-Disclosure Order will generally seal the police and court records from any private employer.

Having a clean record is often important in seeking employment.  These remedies are designed to give first time offenders a second chance.  Please call to discuss the particulars of your situation.
